URGENT: Dogless foster homes needed for special oldies

The Oldies Club desperately needs two special dog-free foster homes.

Most of our foster carers have dogs of their own who are happy to welcome foster dogs into their family. This is great! However, some dogs that we take into our care need to be the only dog in the house and so we need to find foster carers that don’t currently have a dog of their own.

If you are experienced with dogs but don’t currently have a dog, and you would like to help the Oldies Club by becoming a foster carer, we would love to hear from you. In particular, if your home matches the needs of one of the dogs described below, please get in touch ASAP!

DOG 1:
A medium-sized crossbreed who could live with very young children (has lived with toddlers previously) and could live with confident cats that stand their ground. His current foster family has been told that they will be relocated abroad and, of course, Dog 1 can’t go with them. He is NOT GOOD with other dogs so his new foster home will have to be dog free. He is fine being left, is neutered, flea and worm treated, microchipped, had a dental and is generally a lovely boy.

DOG 2:
A medium-sized crossbreed who is NOT GOOD with other animals, however she is good with children. Sadly, this dog is terminally ill with cancer so we are looking for a very special foster home where she can live out her final months. This dog is a true lap-dog and would prefer someone around most of the day, however she can be left and is not destructive.

If you feel you could offer a space for either dog, or are interested in fostering generally, please contact our Fostering Co-ordinator by email: foster@oldies.org.uk

Thank you very much!
