24/6/13 – We have just had the good news that Florence has found a wonderful home which she will be sharing with a canine friend!
Isn’t she just adorable? This is Florence and she is a very gentle black and tan Lakeland Terrier lady who is around 14 years old. She was thankfully rescued from the pound after being picked up as a stray and is now in the care of Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Hertfordshire.
Florence is a very kind little dog who loves people and is good with other dogs. She would fit into most homes and would enjoy a daily walk and lots of love.
Florence is very fit and active but does appear to be quite hard of hearing (although this could be partly-selective Terrier deafness!). She was originally assessed to be around 7-8 years old by the vet, but new information suggests she is at least 14! In the light of this, Florence has had a routine blood test which showed all was well and she is in remarkably good health for her years.
Florence can live with other dogs, children and cats and is going to make someone such a fantastic and loving companion.
