27/8/13 Jodie’s found a home!
Jodie is a beautiful 9 year old Border Collie who is in the care of Animal Action Trust because her beloved owner has passed away. She is a little bemused about what has happened to her happy life but she is taking it all in her stride.
Jodie is such a soft thoughtful dog, the ideal companion and friend. She is wonderful off lead, pulls on lead a little but , in typical collie fashion, will obey as soon as she is told. She can be left for short periods with no trouble, loves the car and travels quietly. Jodie is gentle with dogs (she’s in foster with Chihuahuas at the moment and they’re all getting on well), but can raise her lip to a big dogs if worried by them. She lived with a cat years ago but hasn’t been recently tested.
The ideal home for this lovely girl would be with a fit and active retired person or couple who want a walking companion. She quietly tolerates small children but will go off into the corner if they get loud, so it would be best that any children in her new home were over 12. Jodie is fit and active and will train well for any sporting activity as she is so youthful in every way. She likes to fetch, but most of all to go off into the woods and explore (but, as you might expect, she does have good recall) .
Jodie is in foster near Dartford and you would need to go there to see her. So, if you think she might be just the dog for you, please contact Animal Action Trust as follows:

Please mention that you saw her on the Oldies Club website.
