27/6/13 – Lucky’s foster mum has adopted him!
Lucky hasn’t always been lucky. He is just under two years old and was rescued from the harsh streets of Romania when he was just a puppy. He is now being fostered in the through UK German Shepherd Rescue and is being fostered in Warwickshire.
Lucky was in an accident which left him without use of his back legs. He now has his own set of wheels, which he absolutely loves! Although he uses wheels instead of his back legs, he still loves his exercise and, being a young dog, he likes getting lots of it. He has got plenty of energy to burn!
Lucky is incontinent, but this is quite easy to manage and help and advice will be given to anyone who is thinking of offering him a forever home.
Lucky can mouth a little when he gets excited, as young dogs tend to do and he can be a little possessive of his food. This will probably improve once he moves into a permanent home, but he should be with someone who is used to this type of behaviour and is willing to give him the time and patience he needs to settle. Lucky would do best as an only dog, at least at first.
If you are interested in this energetic young lad , it is recommended that you go and visit him, as he really does love a fuss. You can see him in his cart and realise that his disability does not affect him going out and having fun.
Lucky has been in foster for too long now, so please consider this fluffy white bear if you are looking for a dog.
