13/7/2014 Tina has sadly had to be put to sleep. She had nearly two happy years in her new home and wanted for nothing. She will be missed enormously.

Tina‘s was a story that touched the hearts of all of us at Oldies Club. She came into our care through sad circumstances and arrived in very poor condition, mentally broken and severely underweight. After spending some time recuperating in a foster home, she found an amazing new home where she has continued to thrive, as her new owner tells us:

I thought I would send an update on Tina (known affectionately as “Tink”) who we adopted from the Oldies Club in October 2012.

Tina has obviously had a very hard life so far, so we are determined that she will have everything she wants from now onwards… and that includes a nice cosy sofa at night.

She is a super dog, very easy to love and very obedient, except when there is food around! She has been known to open the fridge door and will help herself to anything that is on the kitchen counter, particularly bread which she seems to adore.

Although Tink suffers from arthiritis, this is well managed with Metacam and she now loves her two walks a day, easily keeping up with our other “oldies”.

We didn’t really intend to get another dog, but Tink’s story was so sad and she looked so appealing that we couldn’t resist her. And I’m so pleased we didn’t!

There is no doubt that Tina has landed on her paws! She was looking for someone special, and we’re so happy her dreams have come true :-)
