4/12/14 – We have sadly been informed that beautiful Betty has gone to the bridge. She was much loved.

Please meet beautiful Betty! This large and lovely lady is a mastiff cross who is around 8 years of old. Betty is a former poundie who was said to have given up on life while doing her time at the pound. Thankfully, Betty has been rescued and is back to enjoying life to the fullest! Betty is being rehomed by All Animals Rescue and Rehoming.
Betty has been with her foster family for a month now and she is a totally different dog. She is quite the regal girl and she demands her proper place on the sofa! She will stand and bark at her foster mum, telling her to move over if there is no room for her.
Betty walks beautifully on the lead although she is a little stiff, so it is possible that arthritis is setting in or she is still feeling the effects of the cold from the pound. She is house trained and spends most of the day snoozing on the sofa. She also loves her food! She is a gentle giant; a darling girl who hasn’t a bad bone in her body. She weighs in at 40 kilos, a big girl with a big heart.
Betty loves other dogs and needs a home where she will have another dog as a companion or where she could have plenty of contact with other dogs. She is not destructive at all and is quite content being left for short periods. She is an undemanding (and lazy!) girl who would make a great companion to an older person or couple.
This lovely old girl would make a fantastic addition to any family as she is really laid back and undemanding, but equally she is a lovely cuddly loyal companion! Betty can live with other dogs, and children age 13 plus.
