25/4/14 – Patch has found a home!
Patch is a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is being rehomed privately due to the ill health of his owner. Patch is at home in Manchester and his family would prefer to rehome him within about 45 minutes’ drive of Manchester.
Patch has short hair with great colouring and pattern. He is brilliant with children but would be best living as an only dog as he has some territorial/dominance issues with other dogs. He wouldn’t be able to live with cats.
Patch has been used to living outside and so he never really learnt to be housetrained. However, his owner’s daughter is willing to discuss this with any potential new owner and work on getting Patch housetained, as she would love to see Patch living inside. Patch loves being inside and getting lots of attention and tummy rubs. He enjoys walks and is good off the lead, tending to stay to a certain distance away from you and then loop back. But he can get a bit nippy with other dogs so it’s best to keep him on the lead if there are lots of other dogs around.
This little chap certainly has the potential to learn new things as he has recently learnt to do high fives, and he will stand on his back legs when he thinks he’s getting a treat. He is a wonderful, loving and affectionate dog and Sinead hopes that he can find a new home that will be happy to have him indoors and continue to work on his housetraining.
Patch is being rehomed privately by his owner. The owner’s daughter, Sinead, is dealing with enquiries on behalf of her father. If you would like to find out more about Patch, please contact Sinead as follows:

Please mention that you saw Patch on the Oldies Club website.
Prospective adopters will be homechecked and Sinead has confirmed that her father will take Skipper back if the new home doesn’t work out for any reason.
Oldies Club suggests you read our article Questions for Adopters which is written to help people who are planning to adopt a dog from a private owner rather than a rescue.
