24/4/15 – Syrus sadly became unwell and the decision was made to let him go. He was surrounded by love at the end.

This handsome older gent is Syrus. He is a 9 year old Akita who has found himself looking for a new home after his owner unbelievably just abandoned him. Poor Syrus! He is being well cared for in a foster home through All Dogs Matter and hopes to find a loving new home of his own very soon.
Syrus loves having lots of strokes and cuddles and has been a very good and sweet houseguest to his fosterers. You can see him enjoying some attention in the photo below.
Syrus would do best in a quieter home with people who are experienced with dogs, since he is a big boy. Although he is good with other dogs while out, he would prefer to be your only dog. He is not used to children so would do best in an adult home or one where any children are older and used to dogs.
Syrus is house trained and can be left for around three hours at a time without any problems. He is a lovely boy who just wants to be loved.
