Thankfully these runs are now sorted. Thank you very much to those who contacted us to offer help, or shared our urgent pleas. There will be many more requests for help with transporting older dogs in need into our care, so if this is something you would like to help with in the future, please read our Transport Volunteers page and then get in touch if you feel you could help.

If you are a Facebook user, please also ‘like’ our Oldies Club page if you haven’t already, as we often post our transport requests there.

We’re urgently trying to arrange transport runs for older dogs coming into foster. If you can help, please email ASAP with details of which dog and which part of the run you can help with. Thank you :-)

Care to be taken when placing in and out of vehicles and passing between handlers incase she manages to break free. Other animals and children cannot travel in vehicle at same time otherwise our insurance cover is invalid.

We advise against modifying your vehicle incase this causes a problem with your insurers. We also advise you to notify your insurers you are helping rescue on a voluntary basis so they can put a note on your record. There should be no charge for this.
