30/09/2016 – Sadly wonderful Eeyore has been checked by the vet and unfortunately has hip dysplasia which is extremely painful for the lovely lad. They have had to make the very hard decision to let him go.

We would like to introduce gorgeous smiley Eeyore! He is a very handsome black and tan Bull Mastiff cross German Shepherd who is looking to find his new family. He is around 7 years old and at present, is in the care of the Jerry Green Dog Rescue in South Lincolnshire.
If you are looking for a little lapdog, then Eeyore may not be the guy for you, but if you are looking for a very large cuddle monster who is a great companion, then look not further as this gentle giant is definitely the one for you!
Eeyore is looking for a quieter new home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. He needs to be the only pet in the home and would prefer an adult only home even though he is good with children. He is looking for a more laid back lifestyle, so could live with older teenage children or visiting older grandchildren would be fine who will not pull him about and give him his space.
He enjoys going for walks and walks well on the lead. He has been socialized with the other dogs at the rescue centre and seems fine with them whilst out and about. He only needs a gentle short stroll nowadays as he does suffer a little with his back legs. He would also be best walked in the park or field as his nails wear down if he walks too much on the path or concrete. He would also like a nice secure garden he can explore or potter about in.
Eeyore is a cheeky chap who loves his toys and balls. A lot of the time he likes to walk round with one in his mouth and is sure to bring it over for you to inspect whilst you give him a lovely big cuddle at the same time of course.
Medical needs – He has been neutered and is in good health for his age apart from taking pain medication for his hips which will need to be continued.
