15/11/17 – Ben has gone to his new home. Wonderful news!

Gorgeous Ben is currently residing at RSPCA Westmorland in Cumbria and he’s hoping he won’t have to wait long to find his forever home. Poor Ben was a stray, so nothing is known about his background, but as he’s only 7 years young he has plenty of future to share with some lucky person!

Ben is a medium sized tri-colour Border Collie weighing 19kg. He is quiet and can be shy to begin with, but he’s a friendly and affectionate boy and he does love a bit of fuss. He hasn’t yet learned how to play with toys, but enjoys going for walks and is very interested in what’s going on around him. He walks nicely on the lead and his recall is pretty good. He just needs a bit of training with some of his other basic commands. Being a clever Collie it won’t take him long at all!

Ben is looking for an active home with an experienced person who can spend plenty of time with him, although he should be fine to be left for short periods. He can be a little wary of other dogs, so needs some encouragement and help with his socialization.

Ben could live in an adult-only home or one with older children (aged 12 years upwards), but no cats please.
