06/11/17 – Berni has found her new home!

Happy, playful Berni is a Border Collie crossbreed girl who’s supposed to be around 10 years old but you wouldn’t believe that if you saw her racing around! She’s in the care of RSPCA Westmorland Branch in Cumbria. It’s thought she could live with another dog and school age children should be fun for her. Cats though, well, they tend not to like being chased!

RSPCA Westmorland say, “She’s such an active girl and loves her walks and playtime where she will play catch with a tennis ball for as long as you are prepared to throw it for her.

“Berni was a stray so we have no information about her previous life. She knows the command ‘sit’, walks nicely on the lead and is very gentle when taking a treat. Berni can be a little lively and over-enthusiastic around other dogs but does eventually settle. She has been walked with other calm, friendly dogs with no problem at all and it might be possible to rehome her in a household that already has a dog with a quiet, relaxed personality.”

If you have an active lifestyle and want this zesty lady to be your best friend, please contact RSPCA Westmorland Branch as follows:
