31/05/18 – Lovely Bobby has sadly died

Please meet the lovely silver faced Bobby. He’s a 10 year old Boxer, currently in foster care for Boxer and Bully Saviours in Leeds.

Bobby’s Mum had to go into residential care, so when he first arrived in rescue Bobby was feeling very sad and confused. He’s beginning to blossom in his foster home now though, and just needs a comfy forever home where he can settle in for his retirement.

Bobby is surprisingly sprightly for his age and still playful. He enjoys having treats in a Kong and he loves going for walks. He can be quite strong on the lead, but he does listen to his handler. He gets a little excited and boisterous around other dogs, so the rescue thinks it’s likely he missed out on making doggy friends in the past.

Bobby is used to having company, so his ideal home would be with someone who works from home or is around a lot during the day. Bobby would like to be your only dog, so he can be fully appreciated for the special oldie he is! It isn’t known how Bobby is with children.

Bobby is being a very good boy in his foster home, sleeping all through the night (on his foster carer’s bed of course!). And during the day he asks when he needs to be let out for a comfort break. He’s also happy to travel in the car so could be your perfect holiday companion!
