6/12/2017 After waiting such a long time, it looks like Brandy has finally found his new home. That’s such great news.

Brandy is a 9 year old Lurcher and he’s spent more than his fair share of time in kennels. Unfortunately his previous owner could no longer care for him, so Brandy was taken into rescue with Leicester Animal Aid. With such a great personality the rescue hoped Brandy wouldn’t be waiting too long for his new home, but sadly he’s been in kennels for a whole year now.
As you can see, Brandy is a very handsome chap with the most beautiful eyes. He’s blessed with a super personality too and loves a bit of fuss, or a cuddle and a nice massage. He’s playful, full of energy and has a real cheeky character, always ready for the next adventure! He’ll make a perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle, so if you’re looking for a canine walking partner look no further!
When Brandy is in full play mode, he can sometimes forget his size, so he’s looking for a home without children. He’s also a little protective over his food and doesn’t want to share, so a home where he’ll be the only dog would be most suitable.

Hi! Handy Brandy the Lurcher here. My Kennel mum tells me I’m 9 years old but I don’t believe her, I’m always running around and playing with my toys. I love lying on the sofa as well, and will sunbathe for hours! My mum tells me I have the best personality ever and I make her happy every time she sees me. Each morning I give her the biggest hug and then I sit on the sofa waiting for my breakfast. I love food a lot!!
I really hope my new parents will be patient with me and understand that I’ll need time to settle into my new home. I get a little anxious of new places and people you see, but once I’m into a routine my laid back personality shines through.
I love my walks most of all, that’s when I’m in my stride, and I’m used to being walked in a muzzle and kept on-lead. Although I don’t want to live with another dog, I’ve been on walkies with some of my smaller fellow doggy friends.
I hope someone will show an interest in me very soon. I’ve been at the Centre for a year now so it must be my turn to find a forever home. I had a lovely Christmas present last year, and you can see me playing with it here. This year I hope I can spend Christmas curled up on the sofa with someone I love.
