Bruiser (Freshfields Animal Rescue, Liverpool)

Bruiser is a 9 year old American Bulldog who is at Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool after spending his entire life confined to a garage and given no chance to socialise and no stimulation. Thank goodness he now has the chance of a better life!

Bruiser is proving to be a real character who loves to be around people and is very cuddly and loving. He is extremely bubbly and it’s so sad that he missed out on so much for so long.

As Bruiser has never lived in a home, he needs a patient owner who will teach him the ropes. Bruiser struggles with getting used to new things and changes to his environment. At Freshfields he lives in a room rather than a kennel and they are working on slowly introducing him to new things. They are so excited for the potential Bruiser has.

Bruiser isn’t good with other dogs so needs to be the only pet and he will need to be walked at quiet times or in quiet places. Bruiser does love his walks and he needs a fairly fit and active owner as he can be strong on the lead. He is extremely nosy and if he spots anything worth watching on walks, like workmen, he will plonk himself down on the ground for ten minutes or so and have a good look at what is going on! He will bring a smile to your face with his little ways.

Bruiser is quite a lazy boy and he loves taking himself off to bed for a snooze. He needs someone home pretty much all day who will be patient and take it slowly with him while he gets used to his new environment. He isn’t used to children.

This lovely boy truly deserves a happy future. Are you the special person who will give Bruiser the chance to learn what a dog’s life should be like?
