Buddy (Lurcher Link, West Yorkshire)

Buddy is now very relieved to be in the care of Lurcher Link in Halifax, Yorkshire. His original owner had to pass him on to someone else due to his ill health and, sadly, his new owner passed away so Buddy came to be in the stray pound until his rescue.

Buddy is about 8 years old and is a Wheaten Terrier-type Lurcher. He has a blue, rough coat with white toes. Buddy seems quite upset by his stay in the pound and is constantly looking for his owners. He definitely needs someone to bond with and could suffer from separation anxiety, so would probably be best going to someone who’s around most of the time or can take him to work.

Buddy pulls like a train on the lead, so he’s undergoing training to walk properly on a harness, and he is definitely improving.

Buddy is about 23-24″ to the shoulder. He’s very clean in his kennels and not destructive, but he can be quite noisy if he wants to go out (at least he tells you!).

Buddy would probably be best as an only dog, certainly the only male dog. He’s great with kids and used to have a ferret as his BFF. He needs an experienced owner who will give him a chance. In return, he’ll reward you with deep loyalty.

Buddy has been vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered.
