Essy (Wonky Pets Rescue, South Birmingham)

Essy is a beautiful 10 year old crossbreed girl. She’s in foster in South Birmingham through Wonky Pets Rescue. She can live with sensible children age 7+. Essy is living with a large pack of other dogs at the moment and she is fine with other dogs but prefers her own space. She would like to be the only dog in the home or to share with just one other calm, older neutered dog after happy introductions. She’s looking for a quiet, cat free home where she’ll get lots of cuddles.
Wonky Pets say, “Poor Essy hasn’t had a good life from the looks of her, she has clearly been bred from in the past and if there is a loud noise or raised voices she is scared as if she has been hurt in the past. When she is worried or excited about something she chatters her teeth and will look at you with those beautiful soulful eyes, so sad to think what she may have been through but she need never feel scared again!

“She is a good girl in the home and just wants to snuggle up with someone or in a nice comfy bed. She is house trained and non-destructive. Essy can be quite strong on the lead so will need someone who is able to manage her and to be able to give her a good length daily walk as she loves getting out and about.

“Her teeth are good after having a bit of a scale and polish and the sore skin that she arrived with has cleared up well now she is getting a good quality diet. Essy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. She will also be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and she has a clean bill of health from our vet.”
