12/12/2017 – Gorgeous Grandad has found home! Have a very happy Christmas old boy and a wonderful life!

Grandad is is a gorgeous old gent who is around 14 years old. Sadly, it seems he was just dumped at the pound by an owner who no longer wanted to care for him in his old age. Such a shame for this poor old boy who must have loved someone for 14 years and now finds himself alone when he most needs a caring family around him. Foal Farm are urgently seeking a foster or permanent home for this lovely boy, as winter is coming and he should not have to live in kennels at this time of his life.

Grandad has lost the home he always knew and he is very sad right now. However, that has not stopped him from being the wonderful, loving dog he is with the staff at Foal Farm. They love him in return and hope to find him a quiet and loving retirement home where he can curl up by the fire or next to you on the sofa and feel safe and loved again.

Grandad  would do best as an only dog, but he could possibly share his home with another calm, compatible dog. Small children would probably be too much for him, but older teenagers are okay. So far, his tests with cats have been ‘inconclusive.’

Grandad is not bothered by other dogs while he is out. He is calm and quiet and just wants to sleep most of the time. As he is an older dog, Foal Farm would like to find him a home within reasonable driving distance from them, so he can get the support of their vets which will be paid by Foal Farm.

Currently, Grandad plays the role of ‘meeter and greeter’ at the reception centre and does an excellent job of it, that is while he is not snoozing on the job.

What this lovely old man needs is a second chance with a new family. If you can adopt him, or even foster him, please contact Foal Farm as follows:
