This beautiful looking lady is Lou and she’s being rehomed by Romford Greyhound Homing in Essex. Lou was born in 2009 so she still has plenty of years of retirement ahead and is looking forward to finding her perfect family.
Lou is an exuberant and friendly girl with a real love of life. She has a very happy, outgoing personality and will make a wonderful companion for the lucky person who adopts her. Given a little bit of time to adjust from kennel to home life, the rescue thinks Lou will settle very well into retirement. Lou’s litter brother, who had an identical temperament, was rehomed around 18 months ago. He settled in extremely well and is adored by his new family. It would be wonderful for Lou to get her special home too.
Lou really enjoys her walks and is very good on the lead. She is still getting used to other breeds of dog, so will need to be muzzled whilst her socialisation continues. Lou could live as an only dog or she could share her new home with another greyhound, or a lurcher of similar size. This lovely lady will make a great companion for an active retired person/couple, but would fit equally well in a family environment. She would be better with older children as she may knock little ones over in her excitement.
Lou retired from racing when she was four years old and has been looking for her retirement home ever since. If you could offer her some home comforts and TLC she will love you forever!
Lou is spayed and has no known health conditions.
