28/9/2017 – Gorgeous Phoebe has found a home and is settling in beautifully!

This sweet lady is Phoebe, the most wonderful dog you could possibly meet! Sweet Phoebe is originally from Romania. She was rehomed in the UK, but sadly her owner’s circumstances have changed and she is back looking for a home with the help of Love Underdogs. Beautiful Phoebe is a medium-sized mixed breed who is around 8 years old.

Phoebe had a hard life in Romania and at some point, she suffered a trauma to the head. She subsequently has difficulties with walking and general movement. Below is a video demonstrating how she is when she is moving about.

Phoebe has been seen by one of the world’s best neurology team at the Willows Clinic. They concluded that the trauma to her head has affected the part of her brain which controls movement, so she will do things like miss taking a treat from you. She also struggles with steps and takes a bit longer to go for a walk. The good news is that this is not progressive so what you see is what you get.

Phoebe more than makes up for her disability with her sweet and loving personality. Everybody she meets falls in love with her and for good reason. She is a happy, loving dog who has a sunny disposition. She doesn’t let her disabilities bother her when she wants to play with other dogs and go for walks, but above all, Phoebe loves cuddles! She will bond with you and make you the most important person in her life. She has lots of love to give.

Because she is older and has problems with movement, she should not be rehomed with children. She is, however, fine with sharing her home with other compatible dogs and even cats.

Phoebe will make someone a fantastic, loving companion. For all the love and care you give her, she will return it tenfold!
