Priscilla is a small to medium sized crossbreed girl of around 8 years old, in the care of Safe Rescue. She’s in a foster home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk with several other dogs. There, she’s learning to trust humans again.
Safe Rescue say, “Priscilla was rescued from the Mizil public shelter in Romania where she had languished for many years. Due to the wasted years spent living with only the most basic of her needs met, Priscilla had become quite self sufficient and suspicious of humans. When she arrived she didn’t really want to know us but in just a short few weeks Priscilla has had a change of heart.
“She is still wary of strangers but with me she is waggy tailed and happy that I am around. She is reluctant to be cuddled but once in my arms relaxes into it and enjoys a fuss. Priscilla is very easily bribed with food and in an environment with less dogs and more one to one attention she will really blossom into the affectionate dog that I know she was meant to be.
“Priscilla has clearly suffered abuse in her past. It is no surprise that she is cautious of strangers but she is very capable of learning to love humans that show her love and kindness. Priscilla lives with many other dogs in her foster home but can be a bit bossy at times.
“She can live with children that are old enough to understand her initial nerves and give her the space and time to adapt but a quiet and calm home would suit her best.
“This plump little girl with the tiny angelic face shows courage every day in her journey to trusting people. I just hope someone will see her story and offer her the luxuries in life that she always deserved.”
