11/1/18 – At last! We are so pleased to see that Tyson has found a home – he has been adopted by one of his volunteer dog walkers!

Sweet-natured Tyson is an 8 year old, small Staffy cross. He has been waiting in kennels at Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool, for months. Before he came to them he was in kennels for months too AND he has separation anxiety so you can imagine how sad and stressed he is most of the time. He wants to be an only pet at home but is fine with other dogs when out on walks. His loving forever family must be out there somewhere. He’s such a lovely, well behaved boy, he could fit into many types of home.

Tyson walks beautifully on the lead. He’s a favourite with the volunteer dog walkers at Freshfields, as he’s a real joy to take out. He’s polite to other dogs as long as they’re friendly to him. He won’t react to them unless they bark at him first and then he’ll bark back, fair’s fair after all!

He loves running around off lead in the rescue’s secure field and has good recall. Outdoors is his Happy Place!

Tyson is quite the fuss fiend. He loves being stroked and cuddled! He’s proved himself to be extremely friendly with everyone. It was previously believed he’d be best suited to a home with just adults or perhaps older teenagers, but he’s so cheerful around people that Freshfields have now revised this. They now think he’d be fine with dog savvy children from age 7. He’s a real people person!

Due to his separation anxiety, Tyson will need a home where someone can be with him most of the time. He can very gradually be left for increasing periods (he will probably cry if he thinks it’s too long!) but the more he can be with you, the happier he’ll be.

Tyson likes playing with toys. Soft toys tend to disintegrate quickly, somehow, but a peanut butter filled kong will last him quite a while. Yum!

Tyson is neutered, vaccinated and healthy. He will make the jolliest little companion or family dog! He’ll show you what fun walks can be and then snuggle into you for that lovely feeling of togetherness. All he needs is love…
