Gentle Jemima is a small Lurcher lady who is really cuddly with the people and dogs that she knows. Meeting new dogs can be scary for her because she’s very nearly blind. For this reason, it’s thought that if she had a big enough garden she won’t need walks. Her hearing is so good that she can still play fetch with you and she likes to snuffle about a lot too. Someone who doesn’t get out much would be perfect for her as she needs company to feel safe and loved. She’s a wonderfully soppy companion! Gracie (Southern Lurcher Rescue, fostered Suffolk)

Gorgeous Gracie is a sweet Greyhound Cross who would like a quiet life with love, walks and a comfy sofa please in a foster or permanent home. She has lived with other dogs but would prefer just one other dog or being the only dog. Gracie is child friendly but does not want to live with cats/small furries. Poor Pickles has a sad story now that she has to find a new home after a new puppy joined the family and they do not get on, resulting in Pickles being kept separate from everybody in the family now, including dogs and visiting grandchildren, whom she has always been okay with. Rodney is a gorgeous Staffy who is just looking for someone to love him. He would like a warm bed to snuggle up in and a warm lap to rest his head on. He is an easy-going boy who still enjoys a walk. Dinky Jimmy is a pint-sized, older gentleman with the steadiness and wisdom to match his grey muzzle. Being a doting companion is all he really wants, although meeting lots of people and being told how cute he is can be fun too!

Dear Nana would fit into a lot of homes as she has such a gentle temperamentย and would be happy to live with another companion dog and she takes no notice of cats too. Now that she’s in the U.K., she has begun to come out of her shell and her sweet nature is shining through. All she needs now is a loving place to call home forever.

This fun and bouncy Jack Russell Terrier does not act his age and enjoys playing and adventurous walks. Toby is a very sociable chap – he gets on well with other dogs and has made lots of friends in kennels. He is also used to living with a cat and would be fine to live with teenage children. Sadly, Vincent has suffered a lot in his life in Romania and now just needs a lot of love and TLC in a loving, retirement home. He just loves lounging lazily on the sofa with a full stomach; it’s his idea of heaven. Vinnie likes the company of another calm dog and enjoys a fuss from older, quiet children. He truly deserves all the love he can get now to make up for all he’s missed in life.

Two Lurcher girls are so much better than one! Jess and Maddie keep each other relaxed and entertained so all they need from you is fuss, food, walks and a comfy bed each. Diesel is such a cuddly boy! He’s really affectionate and wants his very own human to snuggle up to. He’ll snore away contentedly in your bed if possible. Reggie (The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary)

Two of Reggie’s favourite things are paddling and cuddling. He doesn’t like the vet’s though! He needs an adult-only home with folks experienced with big dogs and he’d like to be your only pet. Mia (The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary)

Mia would be perfect for someone wanting a chilled companion that doesn’t need much walking. Mia loves relaxing in her bed, and in the summer she loves a play in her paddling pool and then snoozing in the sun to dry off. She is deaf, but makes her way to where you point, and doesn’t like being on a lead, but happily follows you along. Bless her! 20/03/2017 – Mia is reserved! ๐Ÿ™‚

Diesel (The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary)

Diesel is so fed up of being in kennels and he’s hoping that a Staffy-loving person will offer him a home very soon. He doesn’t want to live with children or other pets, and takes his time to get to know you, but once he does, he makes a great companion and loves belly rubs. Max (Poodles in Need, Lincolnshire)

Shiva – pronounced Sheeva – is a gorgeous, majestic Labrador lady who originates from Gibraltar, hence her exotic name. She moved to London with her owner who then couldn’t keep her. Shiva still enjoys playing but would like a home without cats or kids. She needs an experienced owner who will ensure she knows she doesn’t have to guard her owner.
