Sox (Adopt-a-Dog North East, fostered Durham)

Sox is so joyful to be receiving food every day and to be able to enjoy the outdoors and fresh air after years of dark confinement. He thinks he’s in heaven! This wonderful boy is good with dogs, cats and children and deserves the very best home.

Blue (Dogs Trust Newbury)

Blue is an affectionate and playful boy who loves zooming around in the garden followed by a nice lazy doze on the sofa! He would love to be part of a quiet, calm household where he can get all the love and fuss he wants. And he has plenty of love to offer in return!

Ruby & Tilly (Private rehoming, Kent)

If you’re at home quite a lot and looking for some canine company, please read about Ruby and Tilly. They are sweet, undemanding girls who only ask for gentle walks, someone to cuddle up with and a comfy sofa to snooze on. Do you have space for Ruby and Tilly?

Charlie (Hounds First Sighthound Rescue, fostered Yorkshire)

Charlie is just like a fluffy teddy bear who loves cuddles on the sofa. He’s a handsome Saluki/Lurcher Cross looking for a retirement home. Charlie loves children and is currently living with other dogs and a cat, so he’s quite the perfect gent who would fit wonderfully well in a loving home.

Alfie (Warrington Animal Welfare, Cheshire)

Alfie is a gorgeous lad who needs an experienced owner. He’s great with kids, good in the house, and fine to be left on his own. Alfie needs work around other dogs and you will need to be happy to muzzle and train him, but he is worth it!

Buddy (Essex Greyhound Rescue)

27/07/17 – Buddy has been reserved, having been spotted as our Old Dog of the Week here on Oldies Club! Our fingers are crossed for Buddy!
Hi everyone! My name’s Buddy and I’m an eight year old greyhound. I’m officially retired from racing, but I’ve seen no sign of that forever sofa everyone talks about. I’m very affectionate and playful, and I’m good with children too, so I’d love to be part of someone’s family. I don’t want to be in kennels for the rest of my life, so please give me a try. I deserve to spend my golden years in a comfortable home.

Annabelle (Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue, Worcestershire)

Having been found as a stray, it’s amazing that Annabelle is the sweetest and most gentle Lurcher lady who will reward your love many times over. She’s still a little shy around new people but is starting to blossom. Annabelle is looking for a quiet home, with or without another calm dog, and where any children are older.

Joey (Leicester Animal Aid)

Joey is a lovely, Lurcher lad who is a gentle soul looking for love and affection. He enjoys being with people and would like a family with children aged 12+ to play with. Joey would also be happy with a female doggie companion to snuggle up to, but no small furries please due to his working past. He’s such a gorgeous boy.

Bess (Pound Puppy Rescue, Dorset)

Well-mannered and sociable lurcher Bess is great with people, children and other nice dogs but she has a strong chase instinct with small furries – they’re great fun to chase! She likes her walks, a quick sprint and then home for dinner. She’s just a lovely lady.

Slaney (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

This lovely grey-muzzled old gent is looking for a quiet household where he can enjoy a peaceful retirement. Slaney is nine years old and he could live as an only dog or with a female greyhound companion. Do you have a place on your sofa for Slaney?

Ben (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

Ben isn’t “just another retired greyhound”, he’s a whole new personality waiting to be discovered. He’d like to be part of someone’s family and find out what real retirement is all about; tasty treats, a nice comfy bed and some long interesting walks. Oh and lots of fuss and cuddles too!

Benny (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

The highlight of Benny’s week is a Saturday morning walk with one of the rescue volunteers. He’s been in kennels for four years and dreams of having a loving family and comfy sofa all of his own. Please make Benny’s dreams come true!

Grace (Southern Lurcher Rescue, fostered Suffolk)

Gorgeous Grace is a sweet Greyhound Cross who would like a quiet life with love, walks and a comfy sofa please in an all-female home. She has lived with other dogs but would prefer just one other dog or being the only dog. Grace is child friendly but does not want to live with cats/small furries.

Turnip (Dogs Trust, Merseyside)

Cheeky Turnip is a happy 7 year old Lurcher who would love a home and someone to love. He is a very friendly boy who is looking for an adult only home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home and would like a little garden too. He enjoys his walks and adores plenty of cuddles. Could this beautiful chap come home with you?

Lou (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

Lovely Lou is a retired greyhound and although she’s officially an oldie, she still has plenty of years retirement ahead of her. Lou could live with another greyhound or similar sized lurcher and she’ll suit an older family. With such beautiful brown eyes and a delightful, easy-going temperament, we think she’ll be hard to resist!!

Tish (Romford Greyhound Homing, Essex)

Calling all sighthound lovers .. please form an orderly queue! This beautiful lady is Tish and if you have a place on your sofa for her, she’ll let you into her heart forever. Tish retired from racing in February 2011 and has spent the past six years in kennels waiting for someone to adopt her. There must be a greyt home out there for her somewhere?

Jemima (Southern Lurcher Rescue, Hampshire)

Gentle Jemima is a small Lurcher lady who is really cuddly with the people and dogs that she knows. Meeting new dogs can be scary for her because she’s very nearly blind. For this reason, it’s thought that if she had a big enough garden she won’t need walks. Her hearing is so good that she can still play fetch with you and she likes to snuffle about a lot too. Someone who doesn’t get out much would be perfect for her as she needs company to feel safe and loved. She’s a wonderfully soppy companion! Can this sweet and loving lady come and brighten up your life? 09/07/17 – Jemima is still waiting!

Jess & Maddie (Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue, Worcestershire)

Two Lurcher girls are so much better than one! Jess and Maddie keep each other relaxed and entertained so all they need from you is fuss, food, walks and a comfy bed each. They love other dogs, making them a joy to take out. They’re undemanding but extremely loving. If you want twice the cuddles for half the effort, then look no further! 07/07/17 – Still waiting!

Buddy (Lurcher Link, West Yorkshire)

Cute Buddy found himself in the pound due to no fault of his own. He’s desperately looking for his owners and needs someone to bond with. Buddy would be best as an only dog but gets on great with children and had a ferret as his best friend! Buddy just needs a chance and he will reward you with great loyalty. 07/07/17 – Still waiting!

Brandy (Leicester Animal Aid)

Brandy is a beautiful Lurcher boy with a cheeky character and gorgeous brown eyes. He’d like to be your only pet and receive an abundance of kisses and cuddles. Brandy would like a home without children and with a nice secure garden where he can burn off energy. 02/08/17 – Brandy is still waiting 🙁

Biscuit – female! (Dogs Trust West Calder, Scotland)

Biscuit is a pretty girl who has been waiting years for a new home. 🙁 She can be a little shy at first but she soon becomes friends. Biscuit doesn’t like to be left on her own. She needs a quiet home with people who are around most of the time. She’s housetrained and loves a trip out in the car. Chuckie (Greyhound Gap, Staffordshire)

If you are looking for a devoted older dog that loves walks, then look no further! Chuckie is a loyal Lurcher x Shepherd boy who gets overlooked because he is older, and yet he really doesn’t act like an old dog at all. He likes children and he could live with a mature female dog. Chuckie’s so fed up of waiting in kennels – is he waiting for you? 02/08/2017 – Chuckie still needs a home. 🙁
