We also have some non-oldie dogs who need very special homes due to mental or physical problems, listed in Other Special Dogs Needing Homes. Please consider them!

You can also browse all dogs needing homes by size, type, and what sort of home might be suitable here ->
If you are planning to adopt a dog and already own cats, you may want to read our article Dogs and Cats.

Nina (Freshfields Animal Rescue, Liverpool)

Nina (Freshfields Animal Rescue, Liverpool)

Nina so deserves a loving home of her own after being in rescue for 10 long years. This beautiful lady was found dumped alongside a busy road and her sad past makes it difficult for her to trust new people. Once you get to know her, though, she is the most loving, loyal, playful and affectionate girl. She has spent some time with her favourite walker, both at his home and in a holiday cottage and was perfectly behaved both times. You will need to take some time to get to know Nina before taking her home, but once you have gained her trust, you will have a friend for life. Nina would make a wonderful companion to an active retired owner and would prefer to be your only dog. Please give her the chance she deserves.
