Gold (Bristol Dog Action Welfare Group)
Update 18/12/2009 – We are delighted to say that at long last, Gold has a forever home for Christmas. What wonderful news.

Update 3/12/2009 Gold has transferred to Bristol DAWG where he can get more personal attention and be in a warm heated kennel for the winter this year – much better for this elderly chap. Romford Greyhound Rehoming, Gold’s previous rescue, are struggling to care for 57 other greyhounds of all ages, so we really hope that Gold will get a better chance of that forever home at last in Bristol.
Update 31/10/09 – Gold has been waiting in kennels for so long now, surely there is a home out there somewhere? The kennels have told us that he’s a really friendly old boy who would be okay living with older children and could probably live with another dog. He should also be fine to be left for reasonable periods of time.
He’s developed a limp, but this is due to an old racing injury. A nice warm and comfortable home will work wonders for this boy.
Gold has sent us some new photos of himself in the hope that someone will see just what a lovely old boy he is. Look at that kind old face – can you resist?

Gold is a friendly greyhound boy who will be 10 years old in April 09. He’s looking for a new home via Bristol DAWG.
Having finished his racing career, Gold has been waiting patiently in kennels for nearly 3 years hoping that someone would take him home. Sadly, this has not happened.
Gold is a very friendly boy but he can be strong on the lead and the kennels think he may be better being walked on a harness. He has met other dogs when out walking and has been fine with them.

Gold would be suitable for most home environments, but as he can be quite strong any children in the home would need to be older (10 years+). Gold cannot live with cats.
If you are interested in Gold, please contact Bristol DAWG on 07931348498 or by email to southwestdawg@gmail.com. Please mention that you saw him on the Oldies Club website.
