6/6/2010 Beautiful Sarabi has finally found her new home and she’s settled really well!
______________________________________________________

Sarabi is a gorgeous, typical example of a German Shepherd girl. She is about 10 years old and is under the care of National Animal Welfare Trust in Somerset.

A home with people who have experience of Sarabi’s breed would be ideal. She can be strong willed and will need owners who can continue her training and bring out the best in her. She could live with a family with children over the age of 16, but would prefer to be the only dog. She is happy with confident cats.
In spite of her age, Sarabi has the mind of a 6 month old and can’t understand why her body won’t do what her head tells her to! She needs to be kept mentally active as well as having gentle exercise.

Typically of her breed, Sarabi has hip and joint problems and is arthritic in her front shoulder. She is currently having Canidryl twice daily as a maintenance dose. Apart from this she is in good health and is neutered.

Sarabi is a beautiful girl who deserves to be in a loving home. If you love Shepherds and have the experience to bring out the best in this lovely girl, then please contact National Animal Welfare Trust as follows:-

Rescue’s rehoming policy:
Our rehoming procedure works on a minimum of three visit policy. Once a questionnaire has been completed & checked that you & the dog you have chosen are compatible & a good match, you can take the dog for a walk & see how you get along with one another. After that we ask you to go away & think about the dog & everything we have discussed, & come back to us the next morning between 9-11am to confirm your interest or to let us know you’ve re-thought the decision. Once you’ve confirmed on the chosen dog, we call you back to have a meeting & discuss assessments & medical history. If you are happy with all the information we arrange a home visit to check garden fencing (we try to bring the dog along so you can see how they may be in the home). All dogs get a vet check before they go home to make sure they are completely fit & healthy. Then you come & collect them & sign our contract & relevant paperwork.
