21/12/2009 Great Christmas news – Hattie has found a new home!

Hattie is a gorgeous Akita/German Shepherd cross girl approximately 8 years old, currently in the care of South East Dog Rescue.
Initially she was brought in as a stray and spent some time in a sanctuary, living with lots of other dogs, cats, chickens, geese, sheep and horses. She would step out of the way to let the chickens pass, and allow the cats to groom her ears! She was so well behaved at the sanctuary that she ended up moving into the sanctuary owner’s house, whilst the rescue found her a foster home.

Hattie is great with people, children, other animals and is the most affectionate, loving and loyal girl. If you are looking for a ‘problem free’ dog, Hattie is your girl! She walks well on the lead, travels well and is housetrained. A laid back family would be ideal for Hattie or an older person or couple. The rescue have a policy that children in the home must be aged 8 years and over.

We have a glowing report from Hattie’s foster mum:-
“Hattie is a beautiful dog with a lot of love to give; I can’t think why someone would not want her! Since I have been fostering Hattie she has been no trouble whatsoever; she got along with my dogs and my cat straight away, no ‘accidents’, no bad behaviour at all. At the moment I put her in a cage when I go out but I think she’d be fine if you left her out. She is excellent to walk and sits before crossing the road; also she stands for ages while you brush her with no problem, she loves the attention!!
All in all she is a perfect dog and whoever adopts her will be very pleased”

That really sums up this lovely girl – she just wants to find her new forever home asap. It’s obvious that she will make her new family very happy. It’s going to be some very lucky people who get to take her home.
