A Wombling Merry Christmas from the Oldies Club

Meet Womble.

Gorgeous Womble sadly found himself in an overcrowded council pound this December. More and more dogs were coming in so Womble was at risk – unwanted dogs that cannot be moved out to rescues may be put to sleep once they have ‘done their time’ and nobody has claimed them. Womble’s owner had actually been in contact with the pound but is himself sadly homeless and so was unable to claim him.

Thankfully, a very kind fosterer came forward to foster Womble for the Oldies Club, and today, 23rd December, Womble has moved from kennels to a warm foster home for Christmas, where he will be given proper care. Once he has had all his health checks and treatment, we will be looking for a loving forever home for him.

Womble has a lump on his back leg which will need to be removed, but that will all be sorted out once he has unwrapped his present and enjoyed his Christmas dinner.

We wish you a wombling Merry Christmas, and would like to thank all our wonderful supporters for all their help which allows the Oldies Club to help old dogs like Womble.
