7/4/2010 Reggie has now found a new home

17/2/2010 Reggie had found a lovely new home, but unfortunately he is not getting along with his new owners dog. He needs to find another home asap as his new owner loves him and really doesn’t want him to go back into kennels. A home where he will be the only dog would be best, although he is fine when he meets other dogs out on walks. He loves attention from anyone of any age and at the moment he is living with three children, aged three, six and nine. Reggie loves playing especially with his ball, but is just as happy asleep on your knee or in his bed. He does pull a little on the lead and when off he doesn’t stray far and his recall is good. Reggie is also living with two cats who he has no interest in at all.
He is a gorgeous boy who will surely melt anyone’s heart..

Reggie needs your help.  He’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier around 12-13 years old who came into the care of Doris Banham Rescue from the dog pound, after he was due to be pts.   He was in very poor condition and is still worryingly thin although he has started to gain weight.   He needs to be in a permanent or foster home urgently.

His eyesight and hearing are not too great but apart from that he seems as fit as a flea, quite agile and still inclined to tow you out the door for a walk when he’s on the lead.    The kennels are no place for an old boy like this and  any stress seems to upset his tummy which isn’t good when we desperately need to get some weight on him.

Is anyone out there kind hearted enough to give this lovely old gentleman a forever home for his twilight years? Fosterers will be welcomed with opened arms.    Look at the photo of him standing at the door wanting to go out and explore!
