Tara (German Shepherd Rescue South, fostered Shropshire)

18/1/2010 We have just heard that lovely Tara has found a new home.
___________________________________________________________
Beautiful Tara has a very sad story to tell. She was rescued by a dog warden, crawling out of a ditch on a main road where someone had abandoned her. She was quite thin and when examined by a vet, it was found that her ears had been burned. After treatment her ears have healed and the fur has grown back.
Luckily Tara is now safely in the care of German Shepherd Rescue South where she is in foster care. She is around 8 years old.
Despite her sad background, Tara is such a lovely friendly girl who adores people. She is currently living with with another GSD girl with whom she gets along beautifully. She is gentle and quiet in the house and has no issues whatsoever. However, she does have a tendency to bark at other dogs and can be a little strong on the lead when out for her walks, but this is something that can be easily overcome with some training. Tara does love her walks and is quite bouncy and active for her age.

The rescue thinks the ideal home for Tara would be one with another dog or dogs. There are no children in the foster home where she is staying, but her foster mum thinks she can live easily with older children as she is such a gentle friendly girl.
Tara has no medical issues other than being on antibiotics due to a slight infection. She cannot live in a home with cats.
Tara is an absolute diamond who has a lot of love to give. Can you offer her a loving forever home?
