7/2/10 – Someone spotted Ben on the Oldies Club and he is going home! Good for you, Ben.

This cutie is Ben who has come to Friends of the Animals because his owner sadly had to go into sheltered accommodation and couldn’t take him with her.

Ben is a 13 year old Beardie who has lived as an only dog all his life. However, since he has come into rescue, he has learned to live with other dogs and gets along well with them so long as they are not in his face! He has been known to grumble and groan at the puppies at the rescue but means no harm!

Ben is a little character with some endearing quirks. He is a fussy eater and will not let go of something once he picks it up (especially is it is something he is not supposed to have!). He is a clever little dog who knows how to open doors and he will let himself out for a solo walk if you are not watching him!

Ben is young for his years and still enjoys his walks as long as they are not too long. He enjoys his creature comforts such as his beanbag and would prefer a quieter home. He can live with cats and children.

He is in good health although he does have a couple of fatty lumps which have been checked by the vet and are nothing serious.

Can you offer Ben a loving retirement home? If so, please contact Friends of the Animals where you can fill out an adoption form online. You can also ring 07814 118820 or 01443 431131 or send an email to janoshawkins@aol.com.

Please mention that you saw Ben on the Oldies Club website.
