30/7/2010 Seen on the Oldies Club website, Boot has just moved to a wonderful new home in Somerset and has already got his paws firmly under the table!

This charming, sociable gent is Boot, a 10 year old crossbred dog about the size of a large Labrador. His owner was injured, lost her job and accommodation and could no longer continue to care for him, so he’s now in the safe hands of Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.

Boot is such a kind, gentle dog that everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He has been used to living in a pub since the age of 6 months and is well socialised with people, children and other dogs. Boot loves to walk, but can be strong on the lead at first.

Having been used to constant company, Boot would prefer a home where he is not left alone too long, although he would be happy to be the only dog or to share with other dogs in the home. He has not lived with cats.

Boot has no known medical conditions apart from some stiffness in his hips after longer periods of exercise. The vet has prescribed Metacam for this which he is given only when required and not every day. He is neutered.

As Boot is such a sociable dog, he would love to find his new home soon and will fit into almost any household. If you could find space in your home for this gentle, loving dog, you will be more than rewarded.
