6/8/10 – Pip has found a home!
____________________________________________________________

This cheeky little lad is Pip, an 8 year old Jack Russell Terrier/Collie cross who is being cared for by the National Animal Welfare Trust in Somerset.

Although Pip can sometimes take a little time to adjust to new situations, once he does he is an incredibly affectionate, lively and playful boy. Pip could live with another dog who is quiet and gentle but he does get scared easily by boisterous or dominant dogs, bless him.

It is felt that Pip may be able to live with a calm, confident cat although he will need to continue to be assessed at the centre. Pip could live with children over 5 who are used to dogs and are confident around them.

Pip has no known health problems and will be castrated prior to rehoming.

This playful and affectionate little lad is seeking a loving retirement home and is sure to make a lovely family dog. Can you give him a second chance at happiness?

If you would like to find out more about Pip, please contact NAWT in Somerset as follows:

Please mention that you saw Pip on the Oldies Club website.

NAWT’s rehoming policy:
Our standard re-homing policy consists of a minimum of three visits. On the first visit you complete a questionnaire to see if you are well suited to the dog you have chosen. If you are a good match, you are able to take the dog out for a walk and spend some time together to see how you get along. At the same time we would talk through any medication needed and importance of diet etc. We then ask you to go away and think about all the information we have given you and to think about how well the dog you have chosen will fit into your lifestyles. Once you decide we ask you to let us know between 9-11am the following day. If you want to continue with the adoption process you will have a meeting with one of the homing team, which will cover areas such as current assessments, previous history acquired by previous owner (if we have it), and any medical information, past and present. We would also do a dog mix on the same day if you have a fully vaccinated dog/s. If you are happy with all the information we discuss in the meeting, we do a home visit to ensure all the fencing is secure and advise what bedding to use and where to place it, etc. If all that goes through ok, the dog will have a vet check to ensure they are fit and healthy, and we can arrange a homing date.
