Jack (Norfolk Area)

9/1/13 – Jack has found a new home and is settling in well!
——————————————————

Everyone knows that rescues are full of greyhounds waiting for their chance of a retirement home, but if you’re a black greyhound and youth isn’t on your side then the odds really are against you. Many people want younger dogs and for some strange reason black dogs seem to be constantly overlooked. We hope that Jack will soon get noticed and find that well earned retirement home.

Jack is almost eight years old, but he retired from racing over two years ago. Since then he’s been in kennels with a small rescue in Norfolk. He has had some interest from a couple of people, but for various reasons and through no fault of his own, these homes have fallen through at the last minute. Let’s hope it will be third time lucky for Jack.

Jack is a happy and playful boy, but he’s also very gentle and has a sweet and affectionate nature. He’s laid back and good around children so will fit well into a family environment. He loves being around people and craves close contact so will lap up any attention you give him.

Jack gets along with other dogs of all sizes so he would be happy having a canine companion in his new home, but he needs somewhere without cats and small furries.

Just like most greyhounds, Jack walks very nicely on the lead so a walk out with him is always enjoyable. He travels well in the car too so he’ll be perfect for anyone who likes taking their dogs on holiday with them.

So, if you’re looking for a gorgeous black greyhound and think Jack could be the one for you, please contact Chris Deane as follows;
