2/12/08 – The lovely Gemma has found a new home!

Update from Kamas Cave – 23/11/08

Gemma recently took part in one of Kamas Cave’s walks and this is what her walker had to say about her ….. This lady is quite something and doesn’t act like a golden oldie at all. She’s calm and confident and jumped straight into the car, settling down immediately. She’s very responsive to her handler and walks very well on the lead. She took the mile long walk all in her stride, not tiring and not at all bothered by the drizzly rain which unfortunately got heavier.

When our lurcher went off for a mad dash around the field, Gemma was desperate to join in the fun! If I’d have let her, she’d have been off like a shot!! Normally, ladies of her age would be far happier curled up on the sofa demanding peace and quiet, but not Gemma. I’m sure she’d appreciate a home where she can still have some fun in her old age. She really is a grand old lady!

Gemma is a beautiful brindle greyhound who is currently in the care of Kamas Cave, the East Anglian branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust. Gemma is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s circumstances.

This 10 year old lady has lived her whole life in an outside kennel, so she’s looking forward to finding a comfortable retirement home. She loves attention and getting some fuss and cuddles.

Gemma is friendly old girl, but she can’t live with cats.
