Nine year old Travis and Primrose are two lovely Lurchers who came into the care of Lurcher Link in Halifax, West Yorkshire due to a relationship split. Both were really obese, but since coming into rescue they have lost 2kg each – still quite a way to go yet though!

Travis and Primrose definitely aren’t cat friendly and they can be a little grumpy with dogs they don’t know. They are therefore muzzled when on walks, just to be on the safe side. These two are real cuddle monsters once they get to know you and they like nothing more than a soft, warm bed and regular (small!) meals. They don’t need vast amounts of exercise either, just a gentle stroll a couple of times a day will keep them fit.

Lurcher Link are quite concerned about these two oldies being kennelled over the winter months, so they are trying to find them either a foster or permanent home before the weather turns really cold. If necessary they can be homed separately.

Primrose has arthritis which is being managed with Rimadyl and Travis has a Papilloma virus patch on his side, but this is soon to be removed. Lurcher Link are happy to pay for any ongoing prescribed medication for the remainder of their twilight years.
