12/8/12 Diesel is settling nicely in his new home!

Diesel is a gorgeous, large black 8 year old boy who weighs approx 35kg. Diesel is currently in an overcrowded shelter in Greece and Desperate Greekies are trying to rehome him in the UK. He travelled to the UK at the end of May and is in a Desperate Greekies foster home.

Diesel has had a sad, indeed tragic, life. He lived at a petrol station in Greece where he was never let off his chain and was fed just scraps. Despite his loyalty, when the petrol station closed down, Diesel was callously imprisoned inside, behind bars, and left to starve to death.

Just in time, someone alerted the local shelter to Diesel’s plight and people went down there with metal cutters. He was found, emaciated and very weak, and he was given his name, Diesel.

At the shelter, he gradually put on weight, but, as the shelter was full to the brim, Diesel once again found himself on a chain. Thankfully, Desperate Greekies brought Diesel to the UK at the end of May and he is in a foster home, waiting for a permanent home.

He has been castrated, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and he has his pet passport.

He’s a gentle boy and he’s living amongst many other dogs and doesn’t seem bothered by them. He can be a little wary of some dogs though. Because of his size, he needs a home where children aren’t too young though.
