7/9/12 – Great news! Roxy has found a fantastic home in Norfolk!
————————————————

Beautiful Roxy would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce herself. This lovely lady has been waiting for a home to call her own since last November and she is hoping that someone will spot her and fall for her many charms.

Roxy is a Rotti girl who is around 8 years old. She is currently being well cared for at Furry Friends Animal Sanctuary, where she was sadly returned last year after her new owners split up and could no longer care for her. It has been a stressful time for this beautiful girl, as she was very happy in her most recent home and cannot understand why she has found herself back in rescue.

Roxy was an only dog in her most recent home, but she has lived with other dogs in the past and could share her home with a sociable neutered male so long as he is not dominant. She previously required a cat-free home, but one of the volunteers at Furry Friends has been working with her and has her trained to live her own cats. The cats will mostly sit and ignore her, although Roxy’s chase instinct will kick in if one of them runs away! She likes to chase, but will not hurt them. Roxy can therefore live in a home with dog-savvy cats!

Those familiar with the breed will recognise Roxy’s Rotti chit-chat. She is not a barky girl, but is quite vocal in this special Rotti language.

Roxy does have the habit of charging other dogs when she sees them. This is not aggression on her part, but just an invitation to play, although it can worry some people. She gets along with the other dogs at the rescue who are used to her and mostly ignore this behaviour.

Roxy was recently a blood donor and was given a special certificate to commemorate her helping other dogs in need.

Roxy has entered the digital age as well with her very own Facebook page!

Because Roxy is a big girl, Furry Friends are looking for an adult-only home for her, with people who have experience with large breeds. She can be left for a reasonable amount of time and will take the opportunity to have a nice, long nap when alone.

Roxy enjoys some canine companionship

Roxy has no known health problems and is spayed and microchipped.

This special lady has been waiting patiently for a long time now and really hopes there is someone out there who will fall for her Rotti charms. She is a loving girl who will make some lucky person or people a loyal companion.
