19/6/12 Meg has found a new home!

———————

This adorable and cuddly little lady is Meg, an 11 year old Chihuahua cross who is looking for a new home due to her owner moving into sheltered accommodation. She is currently being cared for by National Animal Welfare Trust in Berkshire.

Poor Meg was very upset that she couldn’t go along with her owner as they had been together since she was just a puppy. She was used to life being just the two of them and it was a bit of a shock to find herself in rescue. It took her a day or two to decide it wasn’t so scary and now that she has realised how lovely everyone is, she has really started to come out of her shell and show her true character.

Meg loves jumping up on laps and having cuddles. Once she gets to know you, she will even lay in your arms like a baby to have her belly rubbed! She takes treats very gently and walks nicely on the lead. She also loves to run around outside and would enjoy having a garden to play in.

Meg hasn’t been around other dogs much but she may be able to live with another calm dog who will give her space to settle in.

Meg is looking for a new family with a quiet home, as she can get frightened easily. She is still a little nervous of new things, but is getting more confident every day. Meg is not suitable to live with children, as they would be too much for her.
