26/8/12 Danny has a new home!

This handsome boy is Danny and he’s an Afghan X of approx seven years old. He is currently in the care of Animal Helpline in Peterborough and hoping that someone will offer him a new home soon.

Danny is a grand boy and he gets on well with other medium-sized and large dogs, but he’s uncertain of little dogs and will air snap if they get too close. He’s therefore looking for a home where he can either be the only dog or where he will have a doggie companion of a similar size, preferably a calm female.

Danny lives with two young children and he absolutely adores them. He would suit a family home environment with children who are six years or above. He loves human company so would appreciate a home where someone is around a lot during the day, although he can be left for a couple of hours at a time without any problems. He’s clean in the home and isn’t destructive.

Danny loves being out in the garden sniffing about, but a secure garden with a 6 ft fence is a must as he can jump very high. He doesn’t make a habit of jumping, but he would probably try if he wanted to get to his human friends.

To keep his coat in tip top condition Danny will need regualr grooming, but this doesn’t take very long to do. He loves to snuggle up on the couch with you and when he’s hungry or wants to go out he will whine in a very endearing way. He is true gent and everyone who meets him falls under his spell!
