Jessica (South East Dog Rescue, Kent)
18/12/12 – Sweet little Jessica has found a home with people who have experience with deaf JRTs. What a happy ending!
————————————————————————–
Meet adorable Jessica! She is only 7 years old and is a very loving Jack Russell Terrier girl. This beautiful dog found herself on death row as an unclaimed stray, but was thankfully rescued by South East Dog Rescue who hope to find the perfect home for her very soon.
Jessica is deaf, but this doesn’t hold her back in any way. She absolutely adores people and is just so desperate to please. She was sharing her kennel with another male Jack Russell, who has just been adopted so she is now pining for a canine friend and a human family.
Jessica will need to live with another male dog for company and reassurance, but should not live with another female. As she is deaf, she does feel the need to be on her guard when out walking so she isn’t always 100% with strange dogs, but she gets on great with the male dogs she knows at the sanctuary.
Jessica can live with children aged 8 and over, but needs a home free of cats and small furries.
South East Dog Rescue would love to see Jessica rehomed with someone who has previous experience with deaf dogs, although this isn’t absolutely essential if the right person comes along.
Jessica brings a little ray of sunshine to the sanctuary. She is always ready for a cuddle and she is always so pleased to see everyone there, wagging her tail and almost smiling. She is clearly missing her old kennel buddy and would love to be settled into a new home as soon as possible.
Jessica has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
