Bailey (The Ark, Lincolnshire Coast)
1/7/2012 Bailey has found a new home
——————
Poor little Bailey is feeling a bit grumpy and sorry for himself since finding himself in rescue due to his owner’s ill health. He is a 12 year old Chihuahua boy who is being cared for at the Ark on the Lincolnshire Coast.
Bailey is a cute and cuddly looking little lad, but he is no lap dog! He is set in his ways and needs an owner who can give him the love and care he needs, but on his own terms.
Bailey gets along with people and is used to visiting grandchildren, so long as they leave him alone and don’t try to pick him up! He has never lived with other dogs or cats and should be the only pet in his new home. He does not like being picked up and will grumble if you try, although he is not aggressive. He chills out a bit more once he is used to people and grumbles less.
Bailey is house-trained, but does have the habit of scent marking. He is currently being kept in the kitchen and garden because of this. He can be left for up to four hours and will sleep the time away in his bed.
Because of his owner’s ill health, Bailey has not been walked on the lead for a long time and gets his exercise in the garden. He travels well in the car, however. He was fed cooked chicken in his previous home, but is now starting to eat dog food.
Bailey is a cute little dog who needs a special home with people who can understand his little quirks and give him the love and care he needs, without pampering him too much, which can stress him out.
