Lucy and Charlie (Ark, Lincolnshire coast)

Lucy, left, and Charlie, right
23/7/12 Lucy and Charlie have found a home!
——————
Lucy is a 9 year old fawn and white Lhasa Apso, and Charlie is a 13 year old black and white Lhasa Apso. They are looking for a new home together and are being rehomed by the Ark, on the Lincolnshire coast, after the death of their owner.
These two lovely little dogs had been taken to the vet to be put to sleep the day after their owner died, but the vet contacted the Ark who were thankfully able to shuffle things around and fit them in at the last minute. Lucy and Charlie have always been together and are very close, so they will only be rehomed as a pair.

Lucy
They are friendly and lively dogs who are good with people but aren’t used to living with children, and as Charlie can be grumpy with children they will need a child-free home. They seem to be mixing OK with other dogs at the Ark, but they don’t have any experience of cats.
The Ark people have been told that Lucy and Charlie aren’t really house-trained, but they don’t know to what extent or how long they can be left. Lucy and Charlie have been used to sleeping on a settee. They play with toys and travel fine in the car. Both walk well on the lead, and Lucy is fine off the lead, but Charlie will run off.
It isn’t known whether Lucy has been neutered, but Charlie is neutered. They have been vaccinated and seem fit and well. Charlie doesn’t like having his tail touched, or being picked up. They are OK at the vets.

Charlie
Lucy and Charlie have had a traumatic time recently and deserve to find a lovely home together.
