Jessie (RSPCA Macclesfield, fostered Derbyshire)

2/9/12 Jessie has found a home!

——————-

Jessie is a Jack Russell Terrier and she’s estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old. She is currently in foster care with the RSPCA Macclesfield.

Jessie’s previous owner was elderly and sadly passed away after being bed ridden for some time. Kind relatives took Jessie in, but they had two young Border Terriers who just didn’t take to her. That’s when the RSPCA were asked to help and after a period of time in kennels Jessie moved into foster care in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. All she needs now is her own permanent home.

Because she hadn’t been exercised for a long time and had been over fed with human food, Jessie was about 9 kilograms overweight when she arrived. She was put on a diet and after a few months of careful exercise she is now 12kgs and is ready to find her new forever home. You can see Jessie in this lovely video.

Jessie is a great little character indeed! She is a typical Jack Russell; feisty when she wants to be, but quite playful too. In her foster home she’ll have five minutes play with her favourite toy tiger, but then she’ll have a little nap. She loves her walks and is very good in the car and she doesn’t mind being left home alone for reasonable periods of time. She loves a cuddle too and will snuggle up next to you on the sofa.

Jessie isn’t really bothered about other dogs. She’s absolutely fine with some and if she’s a bit naughty with others it’s not a problem because she’s easy to move on. She would be happiest in a home without children and other pets.

Jessie is housetrained and is a content little dog who rarely barks and is very affectionate when she gets to know you!.  She  is still a fit and healthy little dog and will make a fabulous companion.

She has been worm and flea treated, microchipped and fully vaccinated, including for Kennel Cough. She had a large lump removed from her side when she arrived and she has been spayed. Please give this lovely little girl the chance she needs.
