29/7/2012 Lady has found her forever home!

—————-

Lady is a gentle old Lurcher girl who sadly finds herself in rescue at the grand old age of 14 years. Lady has spent the past six months in kennels due to her owner being in hospital and sadly she won’t ever be able to return home. She is now in the care of Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue who hope to find her a new home.

Lady is a beautiful dog and she’s kind and undemanding. In her previous home she lived as an only dog, but in her current foster home she shares with two other lurchers and an older terrier and they all get along fine. She could therefore live either as an only dog or with others.

Lady doesn’t mind being left home alone for a few hours and she travels well in the car. Her history with children isn’t known, but she lives with a 13 year old at the moment and would probably be best in a home with adults or older, sensible children of 10 yrs and above. The rescue were told that Lady isn’t good with cats, but they haven’t tested her yet.

Lady’s legs aren’t as good as they used to be, so the rescue are gradually building up her strength and weight with short walks and regular small meals. They are hoping for some improvement, but it is still early days.

Could you see past Lady’s age and give this special girl a chance to enjoy some home comforts again? If so, please contact Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue to find out more about her;
