2/9/12 Poppy and Lily have found a home!

Meet Poppy and Lily, a gorgeous and playful pair of English Springer Spaniel girls. Poppy is the oldie of the pair at the age of 9, while Lily is only 4. She is allowed oldie status as she is the devoted companion of Poppy. This lively pair of girls are in rescue with South Yorkshire Springer Spaniel Rescue due to their owners having a change of circumstances, meaning they can no longer give them the time they deserve.

Although Poppy is the older girl of the pair, it is only on close inspection that you can tell the difference as they are both very energetic! Poppy is very young for her age and she loves to play.

Both girls are very adaptable and friendly. They barely blinked an eye when they arrived in kennels, taking it all in their stride and getting on immeidately with more important things – such as playing! Both girls love to play ball and will chase anything you care to throw. They also love water – whether it be a puddle, river or swamp and will dive straight in!

Lily!

Poppy tends to ignore other dogs when out and about (she only has eyes for you), but Lilly is quite nervous of them and will bark, although has never shown aggression. She is also a little nervous of children, barking but showing no aggression. Because of this, however, Poppy and Lily need a home without other dogs or young children.

They are used to getting lots of walks in areas where they can run free and so have never spend much time on a lea. They therefore do pull a little but this is something that can be worked on.
