23/8/12 – Lovely Rocky has found a home!

This handsome boy with the long fluffy coat is Rocky, a 13 year old German Shepherd who needs a new home for his retirement years. This lovely older boy is being cared for by the RSPCA Essex South and Southend branch until he finds his forever home.

Rocky is a very people oriented dog who is good with sensible children and has lived with confident cats in the past. He still enjoys his walks and gets very excited when starting out, although he soon settles down. He is used to walking on a lead so any off-lead exercise will require his new owner to work on his recall.

Rocky still has very good hearing and very sensitive ears. He does not like fireworks or thunder and can become upset if he is alone during those times. He will settle if you are there to quietly reassure him.

Rocky is a lovely old gentleman who will make someone a faithful and loving companion. Can you offer him a loving home to spend his retirement years?
