23/11/12 Gyp has found a home!

This handsome gentleman is Gyp and he is a 9 year old German Shepherd/Collie cross who is being rehomed by Cefni German Shepherd Rescue. Gyp is at home in Cheshire, but his owner is sadly too ill to care for him anymore, so poor Gyp needs to find a new home asap.

Gyp is a lovely looking lad, is medium-sized with a gorgeous, semi-long black coat. He has a lovely temperament too and likes being with people.

Gyp is a clever boy who responds to all basic commands. He particularly loves playing with his ball and toys and is very eager to please. He bonds quickly with people and really enjoys having lots of attention and playtime.

Gyps is currently living with another dog, but exhibits some terrible manners when he meets strange dogs. His new owner will need to work on his socialisation when he is introduced to other dogs. Gyp would prefer not to live with cats!

Gyp is not used to children and would prefer a home where any children are older and used to older and large dogs.

Gyp can stand to lose a little weight, but with his interest in play, combined with a sensible diet, this shouldn’t be too hard. He walks nicely on the lead, and is very treat and ball orientated. His is a lovely old lad who really needs to find a new place where he can enjoy his retirement.
