1/11/12 Rosie and Basil have found a new home together!

——————

Rosie an 8 year old Lancashire Heeler girl who has come into rescue with her younger brother Basil. Rosie and Basil would love to find a new home together as they are best chums, but the rescue would consider separate homes for them as a last resort. Rosie and Basil are in a Lancashire Heeler Community Welfare Fund foster home in Sussex.

Rosie is an extremely loving little girl and would like a home where she won’t be left for long hours She would love to be able to sit on the sofa with you in the evening and be stroked until bedtime. She is used to living with teenage children, but she isn’t suitable to be around small children as she is very nervous of them.

She has lived alongside guinea pigs and rabbits and been fine with them, and she has gained a passion for eating carrots, apples and cauliflower! She isn’t used to living with cats and it isn’t known how she would be with them.

Rosie is very relaxed about travelling in the car and settles down nicely. On walks she loves to have the grass under her paws and have a good run, but she doesn’t like walking on rough paths or gravel. Little Rosie can be very nervous, and when out on a walk she doesn’t like anyone to be behind her.

Rosie has been spayed and has no current medical needs. She damaged her cruciate ligament last December when turning suddenly but has fully recovered.

She is an adorable little girl who deserves a lovely new home, and if she could take Basil along with her she would be even happier.
